William Mumford put on an excellent day for 25 members to get up to speed with the latest GPS technology. The GPS system with its advantages and limitations was explained in detail, then after lunch at William's farm, we had chance for hands on experience of autosteer.

Landed at Tim Franklins strip and visited Bowmans Flour Mill at Hitchin, Hertfordshire (a modern mill). After lunch, went to the recently restored Stotfold Mill in Bedfordshire on the River Ivel, where a mill has existed for over a thousand years. Photos by Martin Gosling.
